The HEIMERER University Network (HUN) combines the professional expertise and scientific competence of the Heimerer colleges as well as of various HUN institutes.
HUN not only supports the establishment and expansion of educational institutions in the tertiary sector of the Heimerer Group but also the professional and scientific exchange between these institutions.
The Heimerer Group has been active in the education sector for 40 years. The educational institutions in the Federal Republic of Germany include 40 vocational schools (e.g., for physiotherapy and occupational therapy as well as nursing) at a total of 10 locations, a professional school for educators, a college for social pedagogy, a higher secondary vocational school for health and social affairs as well as the academy for further training in health professions with a total of 13 locations.
The Heimerer Group’s activity in tertiary education began in 2011 with the establishment of a university of applied sciences in Pristina (Republic of Kosovo). Five degree programmes – nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, lab technician – are offered there, with 1,500 students currently enrolled.
At present, further universities in German-speaking countries and in southern Europe are in the planning and development phase.
You can find more information about our activities on this website in autumn 2023.
